transmission in place. The two handles are screwed into spark plug holes. As the spark plug holes are off center, the engine would tilt when lifted and that's why an angle iron has been bolted to one handle. This keeps the chain in the proper position to lift the engine evenly. These handles were made by Joe Phillips. They lift both the engine and the transmission together as a unit. |
copper 1/2-inch tubing made up for the heater. This tubing can be bent with a pipe bender. The original tubing was iron and now more expensive and hard to find. |
